Participating in content marketing once in a blue moon will get you nowhere, but doing it consistently will make you a trusted resource for your community.
Write What You Know
Maybe you aren’t exactly an expert on coaching a kids class — so don’t write about it. Write about things you actually have knowledge of. But if you don’t know much about something, it’s likely someone on your staff will and can fill in the blanks for you. You want your content to position you as an expert, so it is important to find the best information from the right person rather than posting just to get something up.
Push Your Content
Don’t just post a blog and then hope someone stumbles across it. Maximize your reach by posting your content on social media and sending it out through eblasts.
Pay attention to your contents’ analytics. Did one blog get hundreds of views over another? If so, evaluate why, and try and replicate that magic with upcoming content you have planned. The numbers won’t lie.
