Sixty percent of people say they discover new products on Instagram. On top of that, 75 percent of Instagrammers take action after being inspired by a post.
These two statistics should make you realize the relevance and importance of Instagram. More importantly, it should encourage you to stay up-to-date on Instagram’s features. Most recently, Instagram Stories has taken a huge jump in consumers. It surpassed Snapchat in users at the beginning of the year, recently hitting 250 million users.
Giving your potential and current members another platform to interact with your studio will help create that community you strive for and can help generate leads. Here are a few examples of unique ways to create content on your Instagram Stories platform.
Host a Takeover
An easy way to switch it up and break up the monotony of your story is to have a takeover, or have someone guest host your story. This is a good way to bring variety to your Instagram. Have an instructor or the member of the month document their day, their morning flow or interactions with other members of your studio.
Behind the Scenes
It’s great to post a picture or two of new apparel or props you get in, but what can drive even more excitement is a behind-the-scenes look at getting these items. Post videos of an employee opening a new shipment and their reaction the first time they see it.
That behind-the-scenes mentality can make your members more excited to see something in person than they would be had you only posted a picture. Your Stories don’t have to be picture perfect or go with the aesthetic you are trying to reach with your Instagram photos. Stories can be raw and real, no filter needed.
Link It Up
For now, only verified accounts can add clickable URLs to their story, but verified or not, you can still use Instagram Stories to drive traffic to your site. You can put a caption encouraging viewers to follow the link in the bio of your account.
Make sure to link to valuable content, like a new blog post or information about an upcoming competition you plan to host. Taking them to the homepage of your site without a reason can become redundant as they have probably seen that page numerous times. Make the link a call to action and a reason to learn more about a topic.
