JadeYoga, makers of the Jade natural rubber yoga mats, has launched is newest mat — the Voyager, an ultralight and ultrathin travel mat.

Like Jade’s other mats, the Voyager comes in fun colors and has incredible grip. Jade mats are made sustainably with natural rubber tapped from rubber trees, a rapidly renewable resource and are made in the U.S. in compliance with all U.S. environmental, labor and consumer protection laws. And, Jade plants a tree for every mat sold. In fact, through it’s partnership with Trees for the Future, Jade will have planted 1,000,000 trees by the end of this year.

“The Voyager is the ultimate travel mat — meant for those yogis that travel extensively and want to travel lightly, yet want to take their favorite mat with them wherever they go,” said Dean Jerrehian, president of JadeYoga, and a former Environmental Protection Agency lawyer. “This mat isn’t just for just a weekend getaway, but for those yoga adventurers who are living out of their backpacks or suitcases for weeks or months at a time. At just 25 ounces, the Voyager weighs just a few ounces more than an iPad and folds up just 9-inches x 10-inches x 2-inches, so it will fit easily in most packs and bags.”

Jerrehian continued, “While the Voyager doesn’t have the cushion of our other mats, it can be used over carpet or a studio mat so you can get some comfort while on the road, but still benefit from the Jade grip and be secure in knowing that they are practicing on their own mat.”

In addition to planting a tree with every mat sold, Jade also donates one thousand mats annually to organizations such as prisons, schools and shelters, bringing yoga to those in the most need, and donates a portion of the proceeds of the sale of pink, teal and saffron mats to breast cancer, ovarian cancer and autism causes.

“We hope that by spreading the word that businesses can do more than just make great products — they can do real social and environmental good, more businesses will follow suit,” said Jerrehian. “Imagine a world where ever business gave back.”

Jade mats are sold in the top independent yoga studios across the U.S. and around the world. Jade mats are available in three thicknesses: (Travel — 1/8-inches, Professional — 3/16-inches and Fusion — 5/16-inches), two lengths (68-inches and 74-inches), two widths (24”-inches and 28-inches) and a variety of colors and retails for  between $60-135, depending on size.
